James River Jack Russell Terriers located at Swanhilda Plantation on the James River in beautiful Buckingham county in the foot hills of Virginia.

We have 55 acres of prime farm land with 750 front feet on the James River where small mouth bass run abundantly.

The home site was once part of Swanhilda Plantation that dates back to 1798. The farm house itself was rebuilt in 1898 and has been refurbished for today's living style. On our property is the original saddleback cabin that was once used as slave quarters prior to the Civil war. These quarters has also been refurbished for guests.

This area has lots of history and we welcome Jack Russell Enthusiast to visit and attend many of the JRTCA terrier trials we host annually.
