Rainbow Bridge

Forrest

Our only non-jack dog. Forrest was a rescue Doberman that came to one of our hospitals badly malnourished and traumatized after being found literally frozen to the ground and tethered to a tree during the winter of 1999. The man that owned Forrest received 6 years in prison for animal abuse. Sally took Forrest on as a special project and nursed him back to health. When he arrived at out clinic he was under 60lbs. He gained a whopping 120lbs and was Sally’s constant shadow. He has been a great surrogate for all our puppies and even a friend to our monkey Baxter.

Sir Winston

Winston was our only PUD Jack and he was very special. He loved to swim, ride a buggy board in a pool and eat.

  Reyem’s Virginia:

One of Ken Meyers and Sig’s puppies from S.C. from Kemo’s Greg and Reyems Ethel. Loves to race, was excellent in GTG and barn hunt. She cleaned out more ground hog dens on our farm than any other dog we have. She’s little, very friendly but was very tenacious and fierce hunter. She placed in every event she entered and has brought home many Blues for us.

            Pocoshock Tara

Tara was out of Monet and Trevor. She was our largest Jack standing at 14” and weighing in at 24lbs. She loved people but does not make friends well with other dogs. She was a ferocious hunter and avid swimmer spending much of her time on the river banks cleaning out the muskrats.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
